A customer of BBVA Securities filed a FINRA arbitration in 4/2023 alleging that Juan Rascon and Cetera breached their fiduciary duty by allowing her to pledge her sole property assets against the joint debt of her and her now former husband and by allowing her to make equity investments in a self-directed account. THe case was settled for $15,000 in 11/2024.

Another customer of BBVA Securities was paid $24,000 to resolve allegations that Rascon did not adequately explain the terms of certificates of deposit that were recommended.
