Did You Lose Money With Chuck Lewis As Your Stockbroker?

Public records reflect that Charles Jerry Lewis Jr. has been the subject of both a regulatory action and a prior customer dispute, including a substantial settlement.

In December 2025, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) finalized a disciplinary action against Mr. Lewis (Acceptance, Waiver & Consent). Sanctions include a one-month suspension from all capacities (January 5, 2026 – February 4, 2026) and a $10,000 fine.

FINRA found that Mr. Lewis submitted hundreds of reimbursement claims for fictitious business expenses over a multi-year period, receiving reimbursement for expenses he had not actually incurred. Although the conduct did not involve customer securities transactions, FINRA determined that it violated industry standards governing honesty and recordkeeping.

Mr. Lewis also discloses a customer dispute and related civil litigation stemming from conduct alleged to have occurred while he was associated with Wells Fargo affiliates. The customer alleged that Lewis place trust funds in unsuitable investments and recommended margin trading without explaining the risks involved. The matter was settled for $500,000.
