A third claim, brought by a customer of Merrill Lynch alleged that Donnell made an unauthorized investment in their account in an unsuitable investment. That claim was denied by the firm and the customer apparently did not file a FINRA arbitration or otherwise pursue the matter.

A regulatory action, filed against Glenn Donnell by FINRA (Case No. 2021072340501), was finalized in 8/ 2024. FINRA alleged that Donnell was exercising discretion in customer accounts without prior written authorization and mismarking solicited trades as unsolicited in marijuana-related OTC securities. This conduct occurred while Donnell was registered with Investacorp, Inc., Securities America, Inc., and Sigma Financial Corporation. Sanctions include a $12,500 fine and a four-month suspension (August 19, 2024 – December 18, 2024).
