UPDATE ON CHARLES FACKRELL-December 2016-Charles Fackrell, 37, of Booneville, N. Carolina was sentenced to 63 months in jail according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for operating a $1.4 million Ponzi scheme.
UPDATE AUGUST 2016–FINRA records disclose that Charles Caleb Fackrell, a former broker who has been permanently barred from the industry by FINRA, is the subject of 8 pending customer disputes, including:
- FINRA Case 16-1633 in which a customer of LPL Financial alleges damages in excess of $5,000 for unsuitable investments, misrepresentation, excessive and unauthorized trading, and use of client funds for personal benefit from August 2010-December 2014.
- FINRA Case 16-0150 in which a customer of LPL Financial alleges damages in excess of $5,000 for selling away, forgery, unsuitable investments, misrepresentation.
- FINRA Case 15-3369 in which a customer of LPL Financial alleges damages less than $100,000 for unauthorized trading, and unsuitable investments.
- A customer complaint received 2/2015 from a customer of LPL Financial alleging damages of $170,000 for unsuitable investments and for sale of investments not approved by LPL Financial.

In early 2015, Charles Caleb Fackrell, 34, was arrested on numerous warrants from Yadkin County and Cumberland County on charges of obtaining property by false pretenses. According to press reports, Fackrell, who obtained over $1.4 million from customers of his company Fackrell Trivette Wealth Management at 604 Tennessee St. , Yadkinville, NC., may have already made a plea deal with prosecutors and is expected in court in April.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) , the agency that licenses and regulates stock brokers, reports that Fackrell was permanently barred from the securities industry in February 2015. He is currently named in 6 arbitrations and disputes by customers seeking recovery of their losses from LPL FInancial , Fackrell’s employer.
Charles Fackrell was employed by LPL Financial from 6/2010-12/2014.
