The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. In 10/2021, FINRA case #21-02691 was filed by another First Allied Securities, Inc., customer alleging that Cason recommended unsuitable investments , as well as breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and negligence. The damages sought are $236,085 and the case is still pending.
In 4/2025 a customer of Triad Advisors filed a FINRA arbitration alleging that Cason recommended shares of illiquid preferred stock not in keeping with her needs and objectives and that Cason did not properly disclose the risks to her. Damages of $150,000 are sought in this pending case.
From 5/2016 to 3/2022 seven state and federal tax liens have been filed against Cason with a collective total of about $185,000. These liens, filed in in Glynn County, GA, are currently outstanding.
Cason was employed with Triad Advisors since 3/2016-8/24. He has been with Osaic since 8/2024.
