In 5/2019 a customer of Salomon Whitney Financial was paid $65,000 to resolve allegations that Fernan committed fraud, breached his fiduciary duty and made unsuitable recommendations. FINRA Case 18-2182.
In 4/2019 a customer of Salomon Whitney Financial was paid $20,000 to resolve allegations that Fernan churned his account, made unsuitable recommendations and traded without authority. FINRA Case 18-906.
In currently pending FINRA Case 15-1069 a customer of Freedom Investors Corp. alleges numerous violations of FINRA rules and seeks damages in excess of $90,000.
Fernan worked for Salomon Whitney from 12/2015-2/2017. In February of 2017, Chris Fernan was discharged by Salomon Whitney as a result of allegations that “a client informed us that Chris had borrowed $11,500 from him and produced a signed receipt from Chris.”
Prior to that Fernan was employed by Rockwell Global Capital and Freedom Investors Corp. Fernan discloses business affiliations with Private Client Real Estate and Private Client Insurance Group.
