According to publicly available records Karen Shaw Cunningham, a broker employed by Kestra Advisory Services, discloses a pending customer dispute.
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is the agency that licenses and regulates stockbrokers and brokerage firms. FINRA requires brokers and brokerage firms to report customer complaints and disputes as well as regulatory sanctions. In addition brokers are required to disclose certain financial matters such as personal bankruptcies, judgments and liens.
In 8/2022, a Kestra Investment Services customer filed case #CJ-2022-366 State Court, District Court of Oklahoma County alleging that Cunningham knowingly made an unsuitable recommendation to a Trust that the claimaint believes was not a sophisticated investor and the recommendations did not meet her investment objectives. The alleged damages are $150,000. The case is still pending.
Cunningham has been employed with Kestra Advisory/Investment Services since 8/2016. Before that time she was with NFP Securities, Inc.
